As a Primary school student, I would always fail my shuttle run during the National Physical Fitness Award (NAPFA). Every single time, I would sprint with all my energy to get the first beanbag, run back and place it, grab the second beanbag and dash across the finish line. However, even though I was fast, I was not enough to pass. Every failure would bring massive disappointments and anger at not being fast enough. Passing the shuttle run started to turn into a dream. And so, being tired of failing, I started to practice my shuttle run everyday. Be it a weekend or a weekday, I trained. I trained until I was gasping for breath and my limbs felt numb. I was determined to pass my shuttle run and I wouldn't stop training until I did. When I reached Secondary school, I was no longer afraid of the shuttle run. In fact, ever since then I've always aced my shuttle run. I was proud of myself and happy that I could turn my dream into reality.

Journal Prompt, Deon Foo
The most memorable suspense scene I ever watched was in the TV series Lego Ninjago:Masters of Spinjitzu. The scene was when the villain had taken over the city and all the plans to stop it had failed. One of the ninja then sacrificed himself in order to save the city. I was concerned for the wellbeing of the ninja. It was saddening that he died protecting the city.

Deon's True Me Poem XD
My real name is Deon Foo Wei Jun.
A name I wish to be called is Lord Vader because I like Star Wars.
The animal that’s inside of me is a crocodile because I stay quiet but when I’m provoked too much I’ll snap.
The object that’s inside my heart is my parents because they’ve taken care of me since I was small.
The word on my forehead is bookworm because I like to read books.
The sound that I love is the sound of the classroom bell because when it rings school’s over.
The smell that I love is the smell of nacho cheese because it goes well with everything.
My favourite time of day is night because I can sleep! XD
My parents always say to me,”You grow up so fast…”
